New Old Friends Theatre Company

Some of our New Old Friends

New Old Friends are committed to working with emerging and established talent in all areas of the industry. They willingly receive offers of collaboration from other artists and companies, and employ new faces in every area of the company.

Josh GolgaJosh Golga -
Josh caught Feargus stealing his guitar, and they’ve been friends ever since. The pair founded the company in 2008, with Josh helping to write and taking the role of Toni in Mate. Josh is now an established film-maker working for Hicks/Jaggi and due to time constraints has had to leave New Old Friends for the time being.

Casting Call Pro Spotlight

Doron DavidsonDoron Davidson -
The excellent Doron blew Heather and Feargus away when he auditioned for the third spot in the cast of Sketchy at BestHis audition included an audacious C-bombing, but his characterisation and comic timing made sure he was the first choice to flesh out the group. His astonishing height (6’5″) has the added bonus of turning the show into the tallest group of comedy performers assembled with an average cast height of 6’4″!

Pavel Douglas -
Pavel Douglas has had an illustious career; ranging from roles in Bond movies, featuring in many a TV soap, famously ordering the death of Eastenders’ Dirty Den, but surely the highlight was when this quintessential thesp donned a variety of sparkly dresses and ridiculous wigs as Angie in Anti-Panto. He was simply brilliant. He has also signed up to bring a certain panahce to the Christmas Pick & Mix with a mad-cap quiz show.

Bryher Simmons -
Bryher is a fantastic singer song writer and will be joining us for Silly Songs of Shakespeare in Feburary. We can’t wait to start working with her. For more information on Bryher visit her website www.bryhermusic.co.uk

Kathryn Levell -
Kathryn applied for what was essentially a male role in Silly Songs of Shakespeare but her incredible talent, coupled with her obvious passion meant she was the clear favourite for the job. She arrived at the audition having created a fabulous Glee-esque mash-up of Ophelia’s song from Hamlet and the spiritual Wade in Water but with new and funny lyrics.

Andrew DawsonAndrew Dawson
Andrew was the first intrepid actor to join with New Old Friends. He took on the role of Wes in the company’s debut project Mate. Andrew beat off many other fine actors at the audition with his quick wit and easy charm.

Amy Patterson - The beautiful Amy P - production manager on Mate
Amy met Feargus when they were both working in different capacities on the Theatre Royal Bath’s YPT production of His Dark Materials which happened in April 2008. She was company manager for Mate in its inaugral run, but had to leave the company in early 2009 to have a baby. New Old Friends thank her for her invaluable contribution and wish her all the best with raising her young (and growing) family. She’ll be back one day we’re sure.

Oh, and by the way, that’s shaving foam on her face.

Marc E BrownMarc E Brown -
Marc is a graduate of Bretton Hall. He is currently does something very important at Drury Lane theatre in London (the oldest theatre in the country). He worked on Mate as a guest director, but is also an actor in his own right.
