Silly Songs of Shakespeare

New Old Friends were commissioned by Theatre Royal  Bath to produce this great new musical comedy show which is now touring the country.

Silly Songs of Shakespeare is a show that does what it says on the tin: there are songs, they are silly and they are based on Shakespeare. Spend an evening with Fearg & The Sonnettes while they serenade you with hilarious “synopsongs” of some of Will’s most famous works, or illuminate a weird corner of Shakespeare’s world with their witty and catchy tunes. Highlights include The RP R&J Rap, The Kings’ Song, Hey Nonny Nonny, and The De Dum Dance. You can watch the Hilarious Hamlet here.

‘Silly Songs of Shakespeare is a refreshingly humorous  look at the works of Shakespeare from 4 people with oodles of talent and a passion who have clever lyrics, great music and stupid amounts of talent. This is fabulous entertainment for anyone who likes to be entertained  – those who get and those who don’t get Shakespeare. It touches you all.’ Kate Cross, Director – the egg at Theatre Royal Bath

Venue magazine labelled the show “genius” and gave the show five stars, read the full thing here.

The Bath Chronicle implores everyone to go and see the show, read the full review here.
