Come and see us live!

After a rip-roaring sell-out national tour in 2014 and a five star month at Edinburgh, Anthony Horowitz’ The Falcon’s Malteser  (adapted for the  stage by New Old Friends and presented with Theatre Royal Bath’s Egg, Newbury Corn Exchange, Natural Theatre Company and Walker Books) heads back out around the country.

Featuring slapstick, comedy songs and a cast of 4 playing 20 brilliant characters, this hilarious family adventure will have you rolling in the aisles! Where else will you get to see a miniature Mexican, a Russian stage star, a German assassin, London’s biggest (not fattest) gangster, and a host of other characters chase a chocolate treat this autumn?

The Falcon’s Malteser is an hilarious family film noir pastiche following the adventures of the hopelessly inept private detective Tim Diamond and his sharp witted brother Nick, this show sees the Diamond Brothers Detective agency on a thrilling case to discover just what is so important about those titular Maltesers!

Anthony Horowitz himself says “(The script) stays very true to the fun and the adventure of the story, presenting the myriad characters with just four young actors and a huge amount of inventiveness. In fact, it’s an object lesson in the power of the theatre.”

The production was one of the hits of the fringe, playing to over 4,500 people with multiple sell-out houses in the prestigious Pleasance Forth venue and achieving great critical acclaim. The fast-pace performance won critics and audiences alike over with its hugely inventive set, creative direction, lightning fast costume changes, painful pratfalls and more ‘bad jokes’ than you can shake a stick at.
